What's new in Valencia

El Saler beach became the setting this morning for the release of 21 young sea turtles (loggerhead sea turtles). They have been cared for over the past year at the Oceanogràfic of València as part of the Head Starting conservation programme, promoted by its Foundation.

Valencia's beaches once again fly the 7 Blue Flags this summer, certifying their excellence in quality, safety, sustainability, and services. Despite the effects of the last DANA that affected part of the Valencian coast in the autumn, the cleaning and recovery efforts have been effective, and the beaches are fully prepared to welcome both locals and tourists.

A new four-star hotel joins Valencia’s accommodation offerings with the addition of ESTIMAR Valencia, a 65-room establishment located on the central Pintor Sorolla street. Designed as a boutique hotel with interior design by Rosa Roselló, it features a restaurant, rooftop terrace, and wellness-focused amenities, including a boutique spa and fitness facilities.

The British magazine Wanderlust has published its annual The Travel Green List 2024, which selects initiatives and places that make a difference in sustainability. Among more than a thousand candidates from all continents, Valencia is one of the highlighted destinations of this edition for placing sustainability at the center of its tourism strategy and striving to become a carbon-neutral city.

Equivalent to Michelin Stars for restaurants, the popular French guide has just released the first list of hotels with a Michelin Key in Spain, which includes three hotels from València: Helen Berger Boutique Hotel, Only You Hotel Valencia, and Caro Hotel.
