Two new hotels and a craft beer bar
Valencia continues to establish itself as a destination for discerning travelers eager for new experiences. The Grand Hotel Centenari Valencia, Autograph Collection, a luxurious five-star hotel, has just opened its doors in the iconic Telefónica Building (1928), right in the heart of Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Alongside this major hotel opening, the creative One Shot Puerta Ruzafa and the much-anticipated Zeta Bar are also launching, the latter paying tribute to the finest local beer from the very heart of the city.
Grand Hotel Centenari in Plaza del Ayuntamiento
A century after its original construction, Valencia’s former Telefónica building has been reborn as the Grand Hotel Centenari — an architectural gem transformed into a luxury hotel that pays tribute to its history while embracing design, sustainability, and a contemporary guest experience.
This ambitious project—the third in the city by the ACHM Hotels by Marriott group—opens its doors under the prestigious Autograph Collection label, a hallmark that guarantees personality, authenticity, and a unique character. It does so from a privileged location: number 25 Plaza del Ayuntamiento, one of the most iconic spots in the Valencian capital. From its rooms, the urban skyline offers direct views of the City Hall, the Palace of Telecommunications, and the vibrant energy of the city center.
A building with memory and a future
Built between 1926 and 1928 by architects Santiago Esteban de la Mora and Ignacio de Cárdenas Pastor, the building was one of the first skyscrapers in downtown Valencia. Today, transformed into a hotel, it houses 53 rooms, many of them featuring high ceilings and privileged views. All the rooms are inspired by geometric Art Deco motifs and decorated with visual references to Valencian heritage — from Nolla ceramics to the Casa Judía and the Estación del Norte.
Among the rooms, the standout is Suite 501, featuring two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a spectacular panoramic view of Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The amenities bear the eco-friendly seal of the French brand Typology, while the minibar offers a carefully curated selection of Valencian products: wine from Bodegas Arráez, chocolate from Utopick, cava from Dominio de la Vega, among others.
On the ground floor, the hotel is home to Soul of 1927, a sophisticated all-day dining restaurant where chef Gabriel Barrera—of Argentine roots and a background in luxury hospitality—fuses French inspiration with local ingredients. Oysters, steak tartare, lobster, titaina, and Dénia red prawns are featured alongside an excellent cocktail menu and live music sessions around a grand piano from Pianos Clemente. Everything is designed to be enjoyed unhurriedly, with elegance and emotion.
A rooftop to touch the sky
The hotel’s rooftop terrace is set to become one of the main attractions of the Grand Hotel Centenari. With panoramic views and a capacity for 200 people, it features a pool, snack area, cocktail bar, and access for both guests and locals. It’s a clear commitment to bringing luxury in tune with the rhythm of the city.
Commitment to sustainability
In addition to its aesthetic and history, the hotel stands out for its sustainable approach. It has obtained the international BREEAM certification thanks to measures such as the installation of aerothermal systems, solar panels, enhanced insulation, energy efficiency, and the selection of local suppliers. Luxury, yes, but with a conscience.
With accessible spaces, personalized concierge service, and thoughtful details designed to connect with the local culture, the Grand Hotel Centenari Valencia is not just a new opening; it is a renewed chapter in the urban history of the city.
One Shot Puerta Ruzafa
On May 19, One Shot Puerta Ruzafa will open its doors, a boutique hotel distinguished by its creative concept inspired by the natural cycle. Each floor represents an essential element: roots, water, stem-flower, and sun, blending art and nature into a unique aesthetic proposal. Located in the vibrant Ruzafa neighborhood and with easy access to key landmarks such as the City of Arts and Sciences, the hotel offers a sensory and design-driven experience in the heart of the city.

Zeta Bar: Farm-to-Glass Beer in the Heart of Valencia
And for craft beer lovers, Zeta Bar arrives as a new beer haven in the historic Plaza del Patriarca. This project from the Valencian brewery ZETA Beer, in collaboration with Bierwinkel, offers unfiltered and unpasteurized beers, freshly brought from Alboraya and served just a few meters away from a state-of-the-art refrigeration chamber.
The space offers non-stop cuisine based on seasonal local products, brought directly from the Mercado de Colón: beach squid and cuttlefish, Manglano Iberian meats, artisan cheeses, fresh vegetables, and homemade dishes like freshly made Spanish omelette or coca de espencat. All of this is served on a sunny terrace with views of La Nau, offering an authentically Valencian experience where the product is the absolute star.
