From garden to table
There are few experiences more Valencian than this one. Paella making means more than just adding ingredients, cooking them and turning it into a dish. It is also about socialising, discussing the process and having a drink around the fire, just like this workshop.
There is no better setting than the gardens at Villa Indiano, which is an enchanting 19th-century villa located in the Burjassot countryside, just five minutes from Valencia.
The workshop takes place at midday to soak up the fantastic Valencian climate and its 300 plus days of sunshine a year. However, there is a plan B in case of rain.
IMPORTANT: During the summer months, the activity takes place in the evening, in order to avoid the hottest hours of the day.
Participants will learn all about cooking a real Valencian paella and then indulge in their own creation. A chef will always be on hand to supervise and set the groundwork at the start of the activity.
The set menu includes cod fritters, garden salad and grilled aubergine with ham and truffled egg yolk as starters*. After that, you will taste your delicious paella and finish with a pumpkin dessert and coffee. (*They may vary according to market and season).
Yum!
